| The Oklahoma Sociological Association was formed by a group of Oklahoma sociologists including Gene Acuff, Lloyd Taylor, Ray Quiett, Ralph Fagin and John Lamberton. About 60 state sociologists attended the first meeting and elected Dr. Lloyd Taylor, Phillips University, President; Ray Quiett, East Central University, Vice-President; and John Lamberton, Oklahoma State University, Secretary-Treasurer. |
